Principles of processing

We process personal data only insofar as this is necessary to provide a functioning website as well as our content and services. Processing is carried out in accordance with the principles of lawfulness, data minimisation, purpose limitation and transparency. Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

Which data we process

Server log files (hosting)

This website is operated on our own servers in a data centre within the European Union. When you access our website, information is automatically recorded in so-called server log files that your browser transmits. These are in particular: IP address, date and time of access, page/file accessed, browser type and operating system used, and the previously visited page (referrer). This data serves exclusively the technically error-free operation, security and stability of the website. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and stable operation pursuant to Art 6(1)(f) GDPR. This data is not merged with other data sources or evaluated for marketing purposes.

Contact by e-mail or telephone

If you contact us by e-mail or telephone, your details (name, e-mail address or telephone number, your message) are stored by us for the purpose of handling your enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. The legal basis for contract-related enquiries is Art 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures), otherwise our legitimate interest in answering your request pursuant to Art 6(1)(f) GDPR. We do not pass this data on without your consent.

Cookies & local storage

Our website uses exclusively technically necessary session cookies that are required for the operation of the site, as well as your browser's local storage (localStorage) to keep your personal accessibility-tool settings (e.g. font size or contrast) on your device. This information remains solely on your device and is not transmitted to us or third parties.

We use no tracking, analytics or marketing cookies and no third-party services that create a user profile. As we use only technically necessary cookies, no cookie banner is required.

Web analytics (Plausible)

For reach measurement we use Plausible Analytics — a privacy-friendly, cookieless web analytics tool that we operate ourselves on our own server in the EU. It sets no cookies, stores no personal data and transfers no data to third parties; IP addresses are not recorded and no cross-device tracking takes place. Analysis is performed in aggregated form only (e.g. page views, country of origin, browser type). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the statistical analysis of visitor behaviour to improve our services (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Disclosure to third parties

Your personal data is not transferred to third parties, with the exception of the hosting provider, which operates the website on our behalf as a processor (Art 28 GDPR). No data is transferred to third countries outside the EU/EEA.

Retention period

We store personal data only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention periods. Server log files are automatically deleted or anonymised after a short time. Enquiries by e-mail or telephone are deleted once they have been conclusively processed, provided no statutory retention obligations apply.

We take technical and organisational security measures in line with the state of the art to protect your data. Data transmission on this website is encrypted via a secured TLS/SSL connection (recognisable by the "https" in your browser's address bar).
